Which is the best Biblical WAB army ?

Well the WAB GT 2010 is over and the dust has all but settled.

With all the talk of Trojans being the killer army this year, I thought it would be interesting to compare the scores of all the armies that took part.

Which is the best biblical WAB army ?

As you can see, the Trojans were not even in the top three armies in my survey (although the winning player Malcolm Barnfield used one )

So here are the rankings:

Babylonian [1st]

Egyptian [2nd]

Celts [3rd]

Assyrian [4th]

Trojan [5th]

Gallic [6th]

Hittite [7th]

Sumerian [8th]

Skythian [9th]

Lybian [10th]

It will be interesting to see what the top performing armies will be in next year’s “Classical” WAB GT 2011

WAB GT 2010 Results

This year's WAB GT 2010 "Biblical" results are now online here.

The delay in posting is due to my being unable to access the internet since Sunday evening as I have been working away on site where internet access was forbidden and the hotel's WiFi didn't work.

On the up-side this did afford me the opportunity to quadruple check my scoring spreadsheet which "misfired" spectacularly on Sunday, causing me to give Keith Backland's third place and prizes to Andy Pickering !

I have since telephoned them both to apologise.

The winners were:

1st place - Jeff Barnfield using Trojans

2nd place - Neil Dee using Babylonians

3rd place - Keith Backland using Egyptians

Well done to all three.

Furthermore, there are 32 armies "ready to go" should you fancy a game but not the bother of working an army out.

See you on Saturday !

Too Cold for Cold Steel

This weekend, Tim and I were due to travel to Evesham for a day's gaming at Gripping Beast but sadly the weather has defeated us.

It hasn't snowed today but we're due more before we have to leave and anyway, my lane isn't navigable NOW!

I aint going anywhere

Good luck to everyone playing at Cold Steel !

See some of you at the WAB-GT !

The Forum is Fixed. No Really !

Actually I haven't fixed it.

I've replaced it.

The last version was working fine but I was unable to get it to integrate with the rest of the site.

I have been developing an online event booking system and didn't want two separate logins.

In the end, I found some software that worked first time. (Actually second time. I cocked up).

So. Here it is.
