It was a great success with everyone reporting a great time.
There were 7 themed campaigns in all:
The Fall of Assyria was a Warhammer Ancient Battles game organised by Steve May of Immortal miniatures who sadly couldn't make the event. Luckily, Guy Bowers kindly took a more active role than he'd originally signed up for.
Philip Turner organised a lovely World War One game that saw the British given a bloody nose by the Germans.
Andy Sherwell and Darren Harding of Gripping Beast organised a Dark Ages event that had several players fighting for glory.
Paul Scriven-Smith and Ian Turner organised an interesting Trafalgar themed event. Players used the Trafalgar rules to play a number of sea battles but they also took part in a skirmish game based upon Legends of the High seas that allowed a shore party to affect the availability of a shore battery during Sunday's final game.
Trevor Allen provided some additional lists and rules to morph Warhammer English Civil War into Warhammer Renaisance.
Alex Buchel of Comitatus Figurines used his forthcoming Hundred Years War rules to back up his popular themed event.
Dane Stephens and Murray Palmer once again organised an open Warmaster event.
Including organisers, there were 78 of us playing in 7 campaigns.
In addition, we also managed to have a themed quiz in Bugmans bar on Saturday night, see a demo of the forthcoming WWII rules (thankyou Warwick !) AND raise £200 for charity. On this occasion we were raising money for the Royal British Legion.
Thanks to everyone who took part and we look forward to seeing many of you in February 2010 for the next WAB-GT.
